Pagoda - San Nicolas de Tolentino
As an added bonus the pagoda in honour of San Nicolas de Tolentino...

Laguna de Bay is rich in fluvial processions called "pagoda". People living on the shores of Laguna de Bay feel connected with the lake and in honour of their Saints they organize fluvial processions.
Basically they bring their patron Saint from the church to a boat where they will sail the lake for a few hours. The pagoda I witnessed was in honour of San Nicolas de Tolentino in barangay Cupang-Buli in Muntinlupa City.
San Nicolas de Tolentino (1245-1305), adored in many places in the Philippines, is celebrated annually on September 10. The story is that his middle-aged parents went on a pilgrimage to the shrine of Nicolas of Bari and were blessed with a son they naturally named Nicolas. The saint became an Augustinian and spent time in a place called Tolentino, hence Nicolas de Tolentino. He was renowned as a preacher and a miracle worker.
